I've found that the badcoin wallet can sometimes get stuck. This seems to happen after I've gone some time (months) without running the wallet and letting it sync up. It might not connect to peers (there's another post addressing this) or it might just never catch up to date.
DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK
The bottom line is that you want to delete all the files EXCEPT THE wallet.dat file.
In Windows, those files are in %appdata% which is probably located at C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\Badcoin There's a chance you won't see some files or folders if your settings don't show hidden files/folders. Hidden ones start with a dot . So a folder named .badcoin would be invisible. Google "how to show/hide hidden folders" for your OS and enable showing them.
Back to the wallet.dat file. You probably should make a duplicate copy, date it like 05242020wallet.dat, and SAVE IT IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION.
You can then start up the badcoin software and things will likely be better.

Below is really all you need to know to restore a BADcoin wallet. Delete the things marked and KEEP THE FOLDER MARKED KEEP (it holds the wallet.dat file which is critical). (thanks @strict9 for the image)
