We're used to seeing public keys (public addresses). For BADcoin, here's an example: public key/address: B7rL9mkSGJikvjvApUCkV8uAReGSHF6VE2 It's public and it's value can be seen on explorer: blockingbad.com/address/B7rL9mkSGJikvjvApUCkV8uAReGSHF6VE2To import a private key, you obviously must have it first. We'll assume you do. It will look like this: private key: CsXMcVes477NWMQYd52aK43UYp7yVjCDWmKZmY4WCBxjfj3Ky2gw How to import a private key into the BADcoin core wallet.Open the BADcoin core wallet, at the top go to "Help", then "Debug window", and then "Console". In the bottom console (the area at the bottom that you can type in), you can type "help" and press enter to see all the options. But, to import a private key, you want to use "importprivkey": importprivkey "privkey" ( "label" ) ( rescan ) To use it, type importprivkey followed by the private key. So, for the example above, you'd use: importprivkey CsXMcVes477NWMQYd52aK43UYp7yVjCDWmKZmY4WCBxjfj3Ky2gw Hit enter and it should import the BAD to the wallet.
Just FYI, if you wish to see your private key for any BAD address , use the "dumpprivkey" command followed by the public address. With the public key above, you'd do this: dumpprivkey B7rL9mkSGJikvjvApUCkV8uAReGSHF6VE2 Press enter and it'll spit out the private key (it's the one listed above).
