This post is in response to the proposed steps to bridge BAD over to Hive, post at badcoin.boards.net/thread/48/roadmap-badcoin-utility-using-blockchain and full roadmap document at drive.google.com/file/d/189OnyfeWrOsJ9BvzjKIkNDb5-KE5LMqd/view.
Two days ago WAX was bridged over to Hive. Specifically, WAXP was bridged over to a new token called SWAP.WAX on the Hive-Engine sidechain of Hive. It joins other tokens like SWAP.BTC, SWAP.ETH, SWAP.DOGE, etc. The new SWAP.WAX token market can be seen at hive-engine.com/?p=market&t=SWAP.WAX or tribaldex.com/trade/SWAP.WAX. It's the same thing, just in a different view.
Below is a Tribaldex deposit screenshot to illustrate the way WAXP is deposited to Hive-Engine:
Note the "memo" field above which includes the person's Hive "user" name. From a WAX wallet, like the WAX Cloud Wallet, a user just sends WAXP to hiveenginewx and includes the memo that was given. Soon, the same amount of SWAP.WAX appears in the users wallet (- 1% fee) at hive-engine.com/ or tribaldex.com/wallet/. It's the same thing, just in a different view.
In only two+ days, things are taking form for the SWAP.WAX market, as below:
The candlesticks show the hi/lo/close, the depth shows the buy/sell orders graphically, and volume is volume. Things will change daily.
Buy orders and sell orders will grow also over time:
There would be differences though:
1. BAD (or "hBAD" as it's called in the proposal) would likely have less volume and things would mature much more slowly.
2. SWAP.WAX was created and bridged by the Hive-Engine team. They have automated the process by using the "memo" field to extract a sender's Hive username. In the proposal for BAD, step #9 (identification) would likely be manual. It would likely need to be done using a form, someone reading the form, then issuing the hBAD to the BAD sender's Hive username. It's doable, but it's manual. (That is, unless an automated manner could be put to use.)
The WAX-to-Hive bridge is clearly better than a manual BAD-to-Hive bridge, but...
...there's no reason the same type of thing being done with SWAP.WAX can't be done with BADcoin using the plan linked here. We just need someone willing to grab the bull by the horns and do it.
